In
April 1953, the Ministry of Fuel Industry made a decision
that, the oil division of the Research Institute of Fushun
Bureau of Mines was put under the leadership of Northeast
Petroleum Administration, named Fushun Research Institute
of the Northeast Petroleum Administration. It is the first
research institute, founded in new China, that was engaged
in the research in oil shale and shale oil processing . At
that time, it was only a barren land and now it becomes a
petrochemical research base with full vitality. By over 50
years of strenuous and pioneering efforts, FRIPP has made
a remarkable contribution to the development of
petrochemical industry in new China, which is a history of
growth in scale and strength, a history of strenuous,
pioneering, rigorous, practical, united as one, devoted
and daring-to-be-predecessor struggle and a history of
innovation with more talents, more achievements and more
benefits, revitalizing petrochemical industry.
