can increase cetane number of poor quality diesel, but its
diesel yield is relatively low. Hydrofining, on the other
hand, can produce more diesel, but has limited capability
in cetane number improvement (around 5 unit). In MCI
process, poor quality diesel, particularly RFCC diesel
undergoes deep HDS, HDN, olefin saturation, aromatics
partially saturation/ring-opening and successive hydro
-saturation (little cracking).

conditions and modes similar to existed hydrofining
