Hydration
of propene for producing isopropanol
R
& D Background
Isopropanol
is an important chemical material and organic solvent with
wide application in paints, pesticides, synthetic resin,
electronics, solvents, and etc.
FRIPP
started developing technologies for producing isopropanol
via direct propene hydration. In May, 1993 the technology
passed the technical appraisal held by the Technology
Development Center of SINOPEC.
