Color
asphalt is a kind of color paving material mainly used in
the security management of traffic engineering and
beautification or decoration of park and gymnasium. It is
synthesized with resin, polymer and pigments. The color
asphalt developed by FRIPP is colorful, stable, and
durable, meeting the ColorCS-ss specification of Japan. In
1992, a pavement performance test wwas carried out in
Beijing Municipal Engineering Institute with Panjin heavy
duty paving asphalt grade 90 as reference; the result
showed that the color asphalt had better temperature
stability and was superior to domestic heavy duty asphalt.
In
1993, 4,000m2 pavement was constructed in
Beijing. After a few Years, the pavement is still smooth,
colorful and of good performance. The technology has been
granted Chinese patent.
