FRIPP
developed the technology for producing 60≧
high viscosity paving asphalt, which is suitable for hot
areas where pavement may be destroyed by plastic flow
caused by high temperature. The technology has been
applied in Maoming Refinery in Guangdong and other
refineries with satisfactory results.
FRIPP
also developed the technology for producing paving asphalt
for cold areas where, in winter, pavement may be destroyed
by very cold temperature. The technology has been applied
in Panjin Asphalt Plant and the paving asphalt product has
good performance.
FRIPP
has finished the development of the technology for
producing dam asphalt from many domestic and imported
crude oils. The technology for producing dam asphalt from
SZ36-1 crude oil was applied in Taizhou Petrochemical
General Works. In 2002, Taizhou¨s asphalt product won
the bid for the Three Gorge Reservior construction.
With
the increasing demand for more and better specialty
asphalts, FRIPP has carried out research in such asphalt
materials as agricultural emulsified asphalt, anti-fouling
paving asphalt, asphalt for railway base, and etc. All the
studies have obtained preliminary improvement.
